History

Milan based artist, Giuliano Grittini is a printer and photographer. He boasts of collaborations with relevant artists from 70s, like Andy Warhol & Mimmo Rotella and was the official photographer of the Italian poetess Alda Merini. Capable of revitalize the pop art style throught an original and unique of a kind technique; his portraits represent significant personalities from art and cultural world as well as celebrities and music icons. The memory of a recent past raises again from Grittini’s paintings surface.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Grittini Giuliano was born in 1951 and lives in Milan where he attended the School of Graphic Design and studies of important artists, working and creating artist books, explores the art of printing. He creates works with many international artists including: Baj, Fiume, Sassu, Guttuso, Scanavino, Tadini, Warhol, Vasarely, Rotella, Ugo Nespolo and more. Passionate about photography, attending their studies, photographing them in various work phases and during exhibitions in art galleries. With the critic and writer Luciano Prada publishes the Volume “44 author’s faces” photographs and aphorisms of artists and personalities from the world of art. Photographs and works have been published by: Rizzoli, Bompiani, Frassinelli, “L’Espresso”, “Panorama”, “Corriere della Sera”, “La Stampa”, “l’Unità”.

Since the 70s he has held numerous solo and group exhibitions and has participated in national and international fairs.

Exhibitions

Temporary exhibition at Gala Dalí Castle in Púbol

This year’s temporary exhibition in Púbol is dedicated to the sculpture of Salvador Dalí and is entitled Retrospective bust of a woman. It will be open to the public from the 24th March 2015 until 6 January 2016. This is the first time that the Dalí Foundation has organised an exhibition dedicated to sculpture.
